An Accra Human Rights Court has adjourned hearing on the case in which the Capital Builders Network is suing the Central Bank for abuse of Human Rights. The court was compelled to adjourn the matter after lawyers for the Bank of Ghana failed to make an appearance when the case was called. On Thursday in court, it was also announced that lawyers for the Bank of Ghana have also filed new motion, details of which are as yet unclear, compelling the case to be fixed for hearing on another date. CB-Net headed to court nearly a month ago, after it persuaded the Central Bank without success, to rescind a decision to freeze its assets over claims it may be operating something similar to a Ponzi or Pyramid scheme, in violation of the country’s laws. The case will now be heard on June 3rd. Source: Joy News/Ghana
