The newly appointed Chief Executive of the Ghana Telecoms Chamber has promised his outfit will contribute ideas and technical expertise to help craft policies for the rapidly growing telecoms sector.
The Chamber will also serve as the interface between the various telecom companies on the one hand, and government, the sector regulator and other key partners in the business on the other.
Speaking on Joy FM about his new appointment, Kweku Sakyi Addo said the Chamber would pay particular attention to the grievances of consumers.
“It will be a platform for the industry to address disputes. This will be a forum for resolving internal issues,” he said.
“It will also provide facilities and knowledge to researchers, to media about the telecoms industry and the general promotion of the industry in Ghana.
He said the chamber will always ensure that the interests of consumers are always met.
