Mr Bright Addai-Munumkum, Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District Chief Executive has advised assembly members not to make promises that they could not fulfill to win favours from their electoral areas.
He noted that unfulfilled promises would affect the confidence they people had reposed in them, "you should rather assist the people to adopt strategies that could be implemented to improve their living standards."
Mr Addai-Munumkum gave the advice in an address read on his behalf at a three-day orientation course for assembly members at Kokoado-Ashanti on Friday.
He asked them to initiate tax-mobilisation campaigns and educate the people on their tax obligations in their electoral areas.
Mr Stephen Yaw Sarpong, a resource person advised them to avoid partisan politics at assembly meetings and instead deliberate on initiating development projects in the communities.
