Ajax won their 30th Dutch title after beating champions FC Twente 3-1 in Amsterdam in Sunday's title decider.
Twente, who beat Ajax 3-2 in last weekend's Dutch Cup final, went into the game leading by a point.
A Siem de Jong goal and a Denny Landzaat own goal put Ajax 2-0 up before Twente hit back through Theo Janssen to set up a thrilling climax.
But a second De Jong goal made the game safe as Ajax secured their first Dutch title win since 2004.
Ajax's success is also Frank de Boer's first league title, who began his coaching career by replacing Martin Jol in December.
"We deserved the win the way we played," said De Boer, who as a former Ajax player won five league titles. "We had some tough phases in this match but we got through it and finished it well."
The one consolation for Twente is that they will play in next season's Champions League after PSV Eindhoven could only manage a 0-0 draw at FC Groningen.
If PSV had won that game they would have finished on the same number of points but with a better goal difference than Twente, but the draw ensured the Eindhoven club will play in the Europa League along with AZ Akmaar.
