Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has not been able overcome a knock as Ghanaa sixth consecutive semifinal appearance at the African Cup of Nations.
Gyan pulled up during Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to Egypt and with many fearing his tournament might be over, but the experienced forward has made a quicker than expected recovery and will start from the bench.
Midfielders Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso return to the heart of midfield in addition to Afriyie Acquah who makes his first start of the competition.
Frank Acheampong returns to the left side of defence in the alterations from Wednesday’s defeat.
