Students from the Fisk University in Tennessee in the United States have paid a courtesy call on Mr. Joe Baidoe-Ansah, Deputy Minister for Tourism and Diasporan Relations.
Mr. Paul T. Kwami, Musical Director of the University, said the students who belonged to the Jubilee Singers Group were in the country to perform during America's Independence Day celebration on July 4.
He said the group also took advantage of the invitation by the US Embassy in Ghana to stage performances as part of Ghana's Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
According to the Music Director, the group which arrived in the country on July 3, had performed at the National Theatre, Du-Bois Centre, Elmina Castle, Cape Coast University and in Kumasi for the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Mr Baidoe-Ansah briefed them on Ghanaian values and customs and urged them to feel at home to enjoy the full hospitality that Ghanaians were noted for.
