Some of the country’s top business entrepreneurs including the CEO of the Multimedia Group Limited Kwasi Twum have been honoured at the maiden edition of the Entrepreneur Awards in Accra.
The event coincided with the celebration of World Entrepreneurship Day set aside to recognize the importance of businesses in the global economy.
Some of the award winners included Albert Ocran of Combert Impressions, Joseph Agyepong of Zoomlion, Terence Darko, CEO of Mechanical Lloyd, and Roland Agambire of rLG Communications.
CEO of Multimedia Group, the mother company of Joy Online, Kwasi Twum picked up an award for best electronic media in radio English category.
Prince Kofi Amoabeng of UT group was adjudged the entrepreneur of the year.
Some of the award winners who spoke to Joy News expressed their excitement and said the awards would serve as an encouragement to build on the foundation they have laid.
