The Head of Corporate Affairs of Barclays Bank Ghana, Mrs Shola Duodu, has called on Ghanaians to support the eradication of guinea worm in Ghana.
She said this would improve the health status of endemic communities and enable them to contribute to economic development.
Mrs Duodu said this at the launch of a walk by the Bank in Takoradi at the weekend.
She said Barclays had so far raised ¢600 million for the project through the sale of raffle tickets and other fund raising activities.
Mrs Duodu called on all Ghanaians to join Barclays in this campaign to make the country free from guinea worm infection.
