Sunderland stalwart defender John Mensah is brimming with optimism that they can end their winless streak against West Brom on Saturday.
The Black Cats have gone past seven games without a win, picking just a point from 21 games and occupying the 12th position on the table.
But Mensah, nicknamed the “Rock of Gibraltar” has given the assurance that he and his colleagues have purposed to turn things around.
“The recent unimpressive score line is not pleasant to we the players, the technical bench and our lovely supporters but we have put it behind us and striving to make amends starting from tomorrow,” he said in an exclusive interview with his official site johntherock5.com.
Mensah, who was instrumental in the Black Stars impressive two outings against Congo Brazzaville and the Three Lions of England pointed out that:“We are determined to fix the recent stuttering run, we are in high spirits to go all out tomorrow.”
Sunderland, with 38 points host West Brom, who are two points behind the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light in their league tie.
