Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have cautioned the public against the indiscriminate usage of the club’s trademark.
The club’s logo, symbolized by the porcupine has since 15 November 2010 been registered with the appropriate bodies under the registration number 27535, therefore making it the bona fide property of the club.
A statement signed by Administrative Manager Ben Nti read: “Management therefore wish to state that with effect from July 1, 2011, no person or company would be allowed to produce/retail any products or goods with the club’s logo without the appropriate licensing by the club.
“Groups, organizations or persons who are therefore in procession of any such product or goods should note that by July 1, 2011 products or goods which have not been produced or sold under licensing from the club will be liable to be seized and destroyed.
“Any person interested in being licensed should contact the club secretariat at Odeneho Kwadaso near Christian Service University College for the requirements for licensing.”
