The Office of the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor John Evans Atta Mills has said that it was investigating an alleged assault by a member of the security detail of the flagbearer.
It said in a statement signed by Mr Koku Anyidoho, it said the bodyguard allegedly assaulted one Kojo Yeboah at Cow Lane in Accra last Tuesday.
“We are aware the matter is being handled by the appropriate law enforcement agency, in this case, the Accra Central Police,” it said.
“The Office of Professor Mills is also independently investigating the matter and can assure Ghanaians that should the said bodyguard be found to have acted unprofessionally, the appropriate disciplinary action would be exacted,” it added.
