A fetish priest at Akomadan, in the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwabena Adade popularly known as ‘Black powers’ has received praises from the police and the public for reporting a man who attempted to use his nephew for rituals.
Black Powers said he abhors killing of human beings, adding that he would never kill a fellow human being to serve anyone's interest.
Speaking to Ohemeng Tawiah of Nhyira FM, Black Powers considered the action of the 40-year-old man as greedy and lured him into the hands of the law. He was happy to have assisted the police to save the life of the 18-year-old nephew of the accused.
It could be recalled that Adom News reported the arrest of one Alidu Tia who had secretly sought the help of Black Powers, to use his orphaned nephew for money rituals.
The elated priest narrated his encounter to Ohemeng Tawiah at Akomadan.
He said, he initially feigned interest and asked him for a seed money of about GH¢300 but Alidu said he did not have such an amount except for his 18-year-old nephew whom he was prepare to offer for sacrifice.
So Black Powers directed him to scrape the bark of a cocoa tree behind the shrine for cleansing in the company of his assistant, while he secretly made his way to the Akomadan Police Station.
“I told them to bath with the bark of the tree they brought seven times to cleanse their bodies before I made my way to the Akomadan Police station,” he narrated.
His effort yielded results as Alidu was subsequently arrested by the Akomadan police whilst undergoing the supposed ritual bathing.
