A high-powered delegation from Central North Region of Burkina Faso has arrived in Kumasi on a five-day business and educational tour of Ashanti Region.
The 30-member delegation which is led by Madam Fatimata Legma, Governor of the region includes: chief executives, directors and businessmen would discuss issues that would improve socio-economic relationship between both regions.
Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, Ashanti Regional Minister said the visit was significant to cement the cordial relationship between them.
He noted that people in both regions had a lot to learn from each other, especially in commerce and agriculture.
Mr Owusu-Ansah urged the Ghanaians to be open and discuss issues frankly with their counterparts in order that "we shall arrive at decisions that would be of mutual benefits and move our partnership forward".
Madam Legma said they were happy to be in the region particularly Kumasi with another delegation from Ouagadougou to sign a memorandum of understanding with Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
She said the two regions had long time business and family ties that should be strengthened and deepened to their mutual benefit.
