Black Princesses head coach Didi Dramani is cautiously optimistic his side will bounce back from suffering an early setback at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
Ghana were shocked in their opening game as New Zealand claimed a surprise 1-0 victory at the expense of the Princesses.
The team failed to make the most of glorious opportunities that came their way on the night and paid for it the dying embers as substitute Tayla Christensen rounded up goalkeeper Victoria Agyei to score the match winner.
The team must win remaining two games against France and tournament favorite United States of America to secure qualification to the knockout stage.
On Thursday, Black Princesses face a make or break when they play France and Didi Dramani believes they can revive their campaign with win over the Europeans.
‘’It was a game that we had absolute control but we lived dangerously at the back which was worrying and led to us conceding,’’ Didi told reporters after the loss.
‘’But it is behind us now and we have to move on. We pick lessons from this one and make a huge statement in our subsequent matches. I believe we can bounce back’’
