There was panic at the Kotoka International Airport Friday morning when the ceiling of the departure centre collapsed all of a sudden.
The incident happened at the Emirates section of the departure hall where travelers often checked in.
Joy Business’ Paa Kwasi Asare, who was at the scene reports airport authorities were tight-lipped about the incident.
He said the caving in of the ceiling is sure to embarrass the authorities.
It is not immediately known if anybody was injured in the incident.
Airport security and other officials were clearing the debris, says Paa Kwasi Asare.
