Four drivers including a woman were on Thursday fined a total of 7.5 million cedis for various traffic offences by a Kumasi circuit court.
Their charges ranged from failure to renew their driving license, insurance and roadworthiness certificates among others.
Kwame Oppong, Emmanuel Owusu Bonsu, Patrick Kwabena Asamoah and Lydia Owusu Serwaah, pleaded guilty and were fined between 500,000 to two million cedis or in default serves six to eight months imprisonment.
Police Chief Inspector R.K. Akoto told the court presided over by Mr Adutwum Mmorosah that the accused persons were arrested during the police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit routine checks at Asawasi, Ahinsan, Daban and Gyinyase, all in the Kumasi metropolis.
