Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has been praised by Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson after his impressive shift during last Wednesday’s Uefa Champions League tie.
Ayew was flamboyant for Marseille at the Stade Velodrome in their goalless draw of the round of 16 first leg tie with Manchester United.
The veteran manager was entertained by the skills and work ethic of the 21 year old Ghanaian international.
”I should be honest and say that Marseille pressed us to our own half, they did not let us play our game.
”For example, Ayew played a great game, he defended and Nani was unable to pass through. He spent a lot of energy and really played a good game,” Ferguson said.
