Asamoah Gyan is confident he can better his season's best of 13 League goals but is refusing to be drawn on how many goals he expects to score.
The Sunderland star is back to England on club duties after he got a week off. And he has returned to base determined to add to his goal tally.
"I have loved every bit of my first season in England even though here the tackles are tough and the referees offer very little protection," he told KickOffGhana.com.
Despite that lack of protection, Gyan says he is enjoying playing as the main man upfront and is determined the goals will continue to flow.
Gyan's thirteen goals for Stade Rennes last season was his highest since his move from Liberty Professionals to Europe in 2004.
"Obviously I would love to score more goals. I am on 10 now but for me the priority is not how many I score is how much I help my team to win and my general contribution to play."
