Alhaji Daud Sulemana, Chairman of the Gold Dealers Association of Tarkwa, said organisations and institutions must make it a priority to assist the police and other security agencies.
He said the role of security agencies was paramount and promoted peace, security, safety and the total development of the nation.
Alhaji Sulemana said this when he handed over renovated toilets and bathrooms at the women's wing of the Tarkwa Police barracks and the Tarkwa Police cells, a 500-litre of polytank and a mini car park for the Motor Transport and Traffic Unit(MTTU).
The total renovation cost 30,517 Ghana cedis.
Alhaji Sulemana said the renovation formed part of their corporate social responsibility.
He said the the reason for renovating the bath houses was because the old bath house was short and exposed the upper part of women whenever they were taking their bath.
Alhaji Sulemana said the association, which was formed in August 2000 with only 15 members, now has 39 and the renovation was financed by members.
Receiving the keys to the building, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwarteng expressed appreciation to the association for their support and urged other institutions to adopt other infrastructure at the various barracks and assist them to transform them.
