Kevin-Prince Boateng could face his former club Tottenham Hotspurs in a thrilling week of European Champions League action.
AC Milan travel to White Hart Lane for the pick of Tuesday's games and Boateng is hoping he can play a part in that after returning to training on Sunday morning following an injury during their mid season camp in Dubai.
Boateng spent two seasons at Spurs but left for Portsmouth as first team opportunities diminished by the day in North London.
He has rebuilt his reputation since, thanks in large part to a fine showing for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup.
He was keen to face Spurs but after returning to training only on Sunday morning will be an outside bet for a place in the side.
Another Ghanaian who will be looking to get into a Champions League team on Tuesday is Anthony Annan. Boateng's midfield partner for the Black Stars has played all two games for Schalke since his move from Rosenborg in Norway.
It is highly likely he will start again when Schalke play Valencia in the first leg of the Champions League round of sixteen at the Mestalla.
