He said the breeding grounds of mosquitoes had been identified as Ashiedu Keteke, Ablekuma, Okai Koi, Kpeshie, Ayawaso Osu Klotey.
Communities like James Town, Kantamanto, Tema Station, Chorkor, Mamprobi, Chemu Lagoon, Korle Bu and Akweteman are to benefit from the exercise.
Others are North Industrial Area, Achimota, Airport Residential Area, Kanda, Odornaa, Kokomlemle, Burma Camp, Kotobabi, Osu Amantra, Sahara drains and other mosquito-prone areas.
He said 10 spraying machines and vehicles were being used in attacking the breeding areas of mosquitoes.
"This reaffirms my commitment to get rid of mosquitoes and make the city free of mosquitoes," he said.
The Regional Minister assured the public that the chemicals being used in the exercise had been declared safe by the Environmental Protection Agency and the exercise would be carried out during the night.
