Long serving Asante Kotoko midfielder, Stephen Oduro, believes interim coach Michael Osei is trying every means possible to push him out of the club.
The diminutive playmaker has been in the books of the Porcupine Warriors since the early 2000’s and was a teammate of the current coach.
However, he was given limited playing time last season as midfielders Stephen Nyarko, Kojo Poku and Theophilus Nyame were all chosen ahead of him.
The midfielder, one of the senior figures in the dressing room, believes Osei and his assistant, Godwin Ablordey are forcing him out of the clubs.
“He [Michael Osei] once told me after Coach David Duncan was asked to step aside that I am not part of his plans.” Oduro told the media.
“I always help to solve problems in the team as a senior player but the coach and his assistant can only explain that I am sabotaging my beloved club.”
“Clubs were chasing my signature in the first round of the Ghana Premier League but I was told I can't play against Kotoko. I was also told that I am giving Micheal Osei problems whenever I am on bench because the supporters always chant for him to bring me on during our games, so he decided not to include my name on the team sheet"
Stephen Oduro played a vital role as Kotoko reached the final of the CAF Winners’ Cup in 2002.
