Anthony Annan could be in line for his Bundesliga debut on Friday when Schalke 04 meets leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Schalke coach Felix Magath says he has been hugely impressed with Ghana midfielder who joined up with the club last week from Norway's Rosenborg.
“He has made a fantastic impression,” Magath said of Annan. “He is excellent in possession, lively, aggressive and he wants the ball.”
Magath is in no doubt Annan will fit into Schalke's style perfectly.
“He knows what to do right away and is quick to get forward. He looked very impressive and may well be able to help us this weekend.”
