A Member of Hearts of Oak’s Council of Patrons, Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe says the club’s decision to appoint a foreign Coach is untimely.
Hearts of Oak have settled on Serbian trainer Vucicevic Nebosja as new Head Coach of the club following the departure of Paa Kwesi Fabin a few weeks ago.
This would be Nebosja’s first international coaching job after handling five Serbian clubs in his career.
Nebosja is faced with a tough task of helping the Phobians escape relegation, with 11 matches to end the Glo Premier League.
Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe believes the job should have been handed to an experienced local coach.
While arguing he had nothing against foreign coaches, the outspoken football administrator said, “we have 11 matches more to play, you don’t bring in somebody who is a total stranger.”
He said even if the new coach is the best coach, it will take some time – which the club doesn’t have – for him to understand the boys and for the boys to understand him.”
