The hearing of a case brought by the Ghana Football Association challenging the legality of the Economic and Organized Crime Office’s swoop on its offices, has been adjourned by the Human Rights Court.
The FA’s lawyer, Thaddeus Sory has told Joy News the hearing was adjourned to February 25 so the EOCO could duly serve the GFA with further court processes.
The Economic and Organized Crime Office raided the offices of the Ghana Football Association in December last year and seized some computers and files in their quest to investigate funds provided by the sponsors of the FA.
The action of the EOCO is being challenged on the basis the investigative body abused its powers and violated the rights of the GFA.
