Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has praised his boys for a good job done after the Black Starlets sealed qualification to the African U-17 Championship in Madagascar.
Black Starlets recorded an impressive goalless draw against Ivory Coast in Abidjan to sail through to the competition to be staged in Madagascar.
The first leg 3-1 win at the Cape Coast stadium proved crucial as the national U-17 men’s team qualified 3-1 on aggregate.
Unlike the previous squads, no player in this year group has been selected from Ghana Premier League and former Hearts of Oak trainer Fabin was full of praise for the young lads for making the nation the proud.
‘’Of course I’m very we have qualified.. The boys played to instruction.’’ Fabin told the press after the game.
‘’We saw that the Ivorians are good passers of the ball, they play the academy type of football and we tried to contain and prevent them from scoring..’’
