Herbert Addo, coach of the locally based Black Stars says Ghana stands a good chance of winning the African Nations Championship tournament - CHAN.
The Black Stars, losing finalists at the maiden event in Ivory Coast two years ago would kick off their campaign in group B against South Africa, Zimbabwe and Niger for the tournament which kicks off on February 4.
Addo believes his squad can take it a step further at the second edition of competition designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
"Our chances this year are very high," Addo told BBC Sport.
"Provided the weather is okay and the referees are fair, we don't have a problem," Addo said in Nairobi, where the Black Stars is training ahead of the tournament.
"So far our training has gone on very well," he added.
Ghana on Monday beat former Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC 3-2 in a friendly.
And Addo's team would again be in action on Wednesday when they play Dream Talent Academy at the City Stadium before facing Gor Mahia at Nyayo National stadium on Sunday as they continue with preparations.
