The management of Tema Regional Office of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has replaced 90 percent of its obsolete equipment to ensure stability of power supply to consumers.
In addition, it has started the installation of SCADA facilities to detect faults or problems confronting consumers and disconnect power to defaulting consumers automatically.
Dr Nicholas Smart-Yeboah, Managing Director of Tema Region of ECG announced these at a meeting in Tema on Friday.
He was briefing political heads, traditional rulers, security personnel and heads of establishments on efforts to bring the power outages to normalcy.
