After failing to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olumpic Games under Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, the technical handlers of the Black Meteors are keen on building a formidable team for the 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Head Coach David Duncan has invited 30 locally based players for camping which begins on Friday.
The Meteors’ first assignment would be an Olympic Games qualifier against Sudan in March.
The team is also scheduled to host Benin in the first leg of the 2011 All Africa Games qualifier in April.
The technical team is planning to draft some players from the Black Satellites, the Local Black Stars and some other foreign based players into the Black Meteors team before the commencement of the qualifiers.
Team Manager of the Black Meteors, Sabhan Quaye says it is not automatic that all the 30 will be part of the final list.
