The highly anticipated ministerial re-shuffle expected yesterday has been deferred, according to reports reaching Joy News.
A cabinet meeting also attended by key members of the New Patriotic Party at the Castle yesterday, called primarily to deliberate on the status of minister-aspirants, is said to have ended inconclusively.
Joy News sources say the ministers involved are still being offered the option to resign their positions, failing which they would be asked to go.
The sources say even though a number of the ministers have tendered in their resignation, a few others insist they would not resign unless the president fires them.
The affected ministers say they do not see any wrong in campaigning whilst in office so long as they have not formally filed nomination papers, a view supported by some key NPP figures.
The president is said to be still weighing his options including the likely replacements before announcing his final decision.
