A board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Mr. Ernest Thompson says he has never influenced the selection of Coach Ibrahim Tanko as has been alleged by some followers of the club.
According to him, he has never made any selection for the coach and noted that he does not even know the coach personally.
“I have never made a selection for the coach and to be sincere I don’t even know him personally.”
In an interview on Asempa FM’s sports morning show, he stated that, if indeed people are saying he did the selection for the first half of Sunday’s encounter with Heart of Lions, then he believes he did a good job since the team played very well in the first department of the game and to him things went bad after the coach made two substitutions in the second half.
“The problem we faced yesterday in the game was as a result of two substitutions the coach made which I believe slumped the team and that’s my view.”
Hearts lost their week 18 league game by a lone goal at the Accra Sports Stadium to Heart of lions.
