The Black Queens made a bright start to their 2012 Olympic Games qualifying campaign after beating Guinea 2-0 in Conakry Sunday.
Two second half goals from midfielders Florence Okoe and Portia Boakye ensured the Queens' victory.
The win is a massive morale booster for the Queens following their woeful performance at last year’s African Women’s Championship in South Africa.
There were doubts about whether Ghana will honour the game following the International Olympic Committees suspension on the country last Thursday.
But the Football Association confirmed the Queens could go ahead with the qualifier after consultations with FIFA.
