Ghana’s most decorated coach at club level, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, says he will hit the ground running soon. He has been off the touchlines for close to two years due to ill health.
The former Hearts Coach and now Liberty Professionals Technical Director, has had a couple of surgeries for throat cancer which he is now recovering from.
There have been many rumours as to his true state of health but when Joy Sports paid him a visit at his North Kaneshie residence recently, he appeared to be recuperating well.
He was sporting a trendy sports t-short with a pair of pants and sneakers to match.
The team also learnt that he still drives his car and even visits the Liberty Professionals training grounds regularly. The only sign of illness was his rather shrill voice.
He believes he may never be able to coach but hopes he can still serve in the capacity of a consultant of a sort.
