The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association Fred Pappoe has confirmed that one of the three candidates who were interviewed last month will be named Black Stars Coach.
Serbian Goran Stevanovic, Portugese Humberto Coelho and local man Herbert Addo are the contenders for the coaching job which became vacant after the departure of Milovan Rajevac.
The FA earlier stated that while interviewing candidates, they would also head hunt for the best but eventually settled for the three.
An eight-man search team has completed its analysis on the credentials of the three interviewed candidates and is hoping to name the Coach by January 19.
Fred Pappoe who is also a member of the FA’s eight-man Search team tells JOY Sports there will be no need to head-hunt for another coach.
He said the three men had distinguished themselves creditably during the interview and one of them is set to get the job.
“The recommendation we are going to give is one of the three and unless the Executive Committee decides otherwise, I believe we can settle for one of the three,” he said.
