Organizers of the first Customer Service Awards in Ghana are hoping to institutionalize the scheme.
The Customer Service Advocates and Ghana Writers and Newspapers Society initiated the awards scheme to set standards in customer service delivery across industrial spectrum.
Inspite of funding challenges, the project took off in Accra last November with the announcement of 40 award winners, selected from the public and private sectors.
The selection was based on good customer, staff and community relations pursued in line with best global practices.
Project Manager, Hector Wulff tells Luv Fm the focus of the awards is to celebrate excellence and professionalism in customer service delivery.
He says beginning this year selection of award winners would be chosen based on a survey involving consumers in all parts of the country.
