The Western Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WRCCI) and the London-based Business Performance Institute have organized a three-day workshop about prospects in the oil and gas industry for 45 job seekers at Takoradi.
Speaking at the workshop Mr. Ato Van-Ess, Chairman of the WRCCI, advised those wishing to work in the industry to acquire the required education and skills in their areas of interest.
He said the oil and gas industry was a highly specialized field and only those with the requisite education and skills are likely to be employed.
Mr. Van-Ess said the workshop was to assist job seekers in the industry to know the type of education and skills required for many on-shore and off-shore job opportunities in the industry.
He said the workshop was the third in the series and workshops on the oil and gas industry had been organized at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and for the business community and Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
