Ex-Ghana international Ibrahim Sunday says he expects the Ghana Football Association’s eight man search team to hand the vacant Black Stars coaching job to any candidate with a development plan for the national team.
The Black Stars have been without a substantive coach for close to three months since the departure of Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac.
The FA’s search team will today meet with candidates Goran Stevanovic, Humberto Cuelho and Herbert Addo for an interview session and Ibrahim Sunday wants the future of the Black Stars to be taken into consideration.
He said the team must be interested in finding out the plans the potential coach has in developing the capacity of local Black Stars.
According Sunday, all previous coaches who handled the Stars paid particular attention to the professional players to the neglect of the local ones – something he believes does not help the growth of the game.
