Deputy communications director of Medeama, Patrick Akoto, is singing the praises of Ghana Football Associationafter they decided to shift all Premier League matches this weekend from Sunday to Saturday.
The Premier League Board and the FA in their attempt to help Medeama qualify for the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup have asked all clubs to honour their week 24 matches on Saturday to ensure the Tarkwa based side get maximum support against the reigning African champions.
A win will keep the Yellow and Mauves chancees of making the last four and the FA feel this could be achieved through maximum hence the reschedule. A move which has been applauded by the deputy communications director.
“We are grateful to the Ghana Football Association and the premier league board for this decision, we believe it will go a long way to help us,” Akoto said.
“ We are hopeful we can get the required support at the venue and as the people of Essipong have always been doing I know they will troop to the stadium in their numbers.”
