Assistant coach of the Black Stars, Gerrard Nus has been named as the head coach of American side Rayo OKC.
The video analyst takes charge of the side that plays in the second tier league NASL.
The Spanish was appointed following the exit of coach Alen Marcina who was asked to stepped down from his position.
He joins Rayo OKC from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, which owns a majority stake in the Oklahoma-based club.
“Gerard brings with him a wealth of experience to Oklahoma City, having worked with well-known clubs in a number of countries,” an official of Rayo OKC said.
“Through the knowledge gained from his coaching stints all over the world, we believe he is the right person to lead Rayo OKC moving forward.”
Nus has already made his NASL coaching debut, drawing 1-1 with champions New York Cosmos.
