Ex-France captain Marcel Desailly says he is bent on coaching Ghana one day despite withdrawing his application for the vacant coaching job last week.
Desailly shocked the world by announcing his decision to pull out of the race claiming he could not wait any longer.
He applied three months ago when Serb Milovan Rajevac quit his post after leading the Black Stars to a quarter-final finish at the 2010 World Cup finals.
Despite his frustrations, Desailly is still keen on coaching the West African country in future.
“I will be Ghana coach for sure, but I will not be their coach this year. I’m finishing my coaching badges and I will be available for coaching in the future. I think I have skills as a coach to show and to bring back to kids or at a professional level,” the 1998 World Cup winner told ESPNsoccernet.com
Three coaches- Portuguese Humberto Cuelho, Serbian Goran Stevanovic and local man Herbert Addo- are in the running to be named next Ghana coach.
