Isaac Dogboe could be in for a world title belt when squares off with Philippines’ Neil John Tabano for the WBC Youth World Featherweight championship on August 26.
Dogboe, retained his WBO Africa featherweight championship from Ugandan boxer Edwin Kakembo at the Accra Sports Stadium in June while his title contender Neil John Tabano also holds the WBO Oriental featherweight title having triumphed over Australia’s Ibrahim Balla in round three to win the Ultimate.
In an exclusive interview with Isaac Dogboe’s Father who also doubles as his coach and Manager, he revealed that there would three titles for the champion which includes the WBO Africa featherweight championship, WBO Oriental featherweight championship and the ultimate WBC Youth World Featherweight championship.
“ As you know Isaac is the WBO Africa featherweight champion”.
“We’ve added the WBC Youth World Featherweight championship to it, making it three titles on the night”.
“The winner takes all titles on the night, so if Isaac takes wins the fight he would move from number 10 to number 5 in the world”.
The boxing bout which has been headlined ‘Africa vrs Asia’ is being promoted by the Aborigines Beach Resort in collaboration with Rising Stars Africa Promotions will be staged at the Police Social and Fitness Center, Cantoments-Accra.
