Gilbert Fiamenyo parts ways with Ebusua Dwarfs

Former Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert  Fiamenyo has parted ways with Ebusua Dwarfs barely three months after joining the Cape Coast side.

The striker joined at the beginning of the second round making a single appearance against Kotoko in Kumasi and missing a penalty.

A change of management has meant lack of playing time and this has resulted in Fiamenyo parting ways.

“I don’t really like Cape Coast so I decided to come back home,” he told Asempa Sports.

“I went there with an ambition and it was J. E. Sarpong that signed me for the club but unfortunately after losing to Kotoko the club sacked him and a new coach was brought in.”

“The coach has his own tactics and philosophy and it was obvious that he doesn’t like me even though I signed half a season contract with them so I decided to terminate my contract.”

“I was not getting enough playing time so I decided to bring everything to an end. I wish them the best of luck and despite terminating my contract with them, they treated me very well and I don’t want to see them go back to relegation.”

“If you compare when I was playing Hearts of Oak and playing Dwarfs, there is a very big difference because I was once the leading striker for Hearts of Oak and now I am not even allowed to play, to me it is a big shame and some of the players even complained because I am a senior player but still I was not given time to play.”

“I spoke to the coach about it and during training I really work hard so the players were really surprised about my situation.”
Fiamenyo also revealed he was moving to a new club.

“For now, I have signed a contract with a team outside Ghana and by next week I will not be in Ghana. The coach has promised to give me enough time to play and personally I know the coach personally. I know the club will help me and I will help the club as well.”

Fiamenyo also played for Kpando Heart of Lions.
