Management committee member of the national U-17 women’s team, Nana Oduro Sarfo, is concerned financial constraints may hinder the team’s preparedness ahead of their World Cup campaign in Jordan.

The Black Maidens are preparing for the world tournament in September and have put plans in place for pre-camping but that has been hindered by the lack of funds available to the Ghana Football Association.

The team have left their camp in Prampram as a result of financial constraints and Oduro Sarfo believes the impetus lies on the Sports Ministry to assist the team.

"It is clear that the national teams are for the government, so the government has to finance them,” he told Asempa Sports.

“The FA has no money to pre- finance the national teams because they put in money for the qualifiers against Morocco which the Sports Ministry has not refunded.”

“So the coffers of the FA has dried out"

The tournament is scheduled for September in Jordan.
