President of the Bankers Association and Managing Director of HFC bank, Asare Akuffo is projecting a further reduction in interest rates by the first quarter of next year.
According to him the consistent reduction in inflation is an indication the economy is now stabilized.
Mr. Akuffo told Joy Business if the trend is sustained, the rate could drop well below 18 percent.
Mr. Akuffo while commending government for stabilizing the economy, is unhappy about the cost of doing business.
