Joseph Kingkong Abgeko says the bantamweight title he lost to Yonnhy Perez a year ago will be returning home.
The Ghanaian has revenge on his mind as he battles against Perez on December 11 in Tacoma, Washington.
Speaking to Myjoyonline.com at his base in New York, Kingkong Agbeko (27-2, 22 KO’s) said nothing short of victory will emerge in the re-match.
Having blamed his last defeat to a poor training regime, Agbeko said the story is different this time around.
“I am ready if the bout were to happen today,” he said, adding he has had to resort to light training these past few days to prevent any injury.
Joseph Agbeko is unfazed by comments by Perez that he is in the best shape of his life. The Ghanaian said he is ready to take him down.
Asked if Ghanaians should expect a knockout, the soft spoken, hard punching boxer said his ambition is to win, no matter how it comes.
“I won’t say I will knock him out. He is also a tough boxer. But I will bring the title to Ghana. If I get the knockout, fine,” he said.
He enlisted the prayers of all Ghanaians ahead of the bout.
