WAFA defender Gideon Mensah has joined Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg on a five-year deal.
The left back has been regular for WAFA this season and his fine form has been duly noticed.
The club’s website on Wednesday confirmed the move: “Defender Gideon Mensah has signed a five-year contract with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
“The left back put pen to paper on Wedneday after a successful trial session.
“Mensah will team up with Samuel Tetteh who also signed for the club last month.
“We wish him all the best in his endeavours.”
Reports indicate the left back will be loaned to the club’s second-tier side FC Liefering for more first team experience.
