HASAACAS 0-1 HEARTS

Accra Hearts of Oak climbed to the top of the table with a 1-0 win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Essipong Sports Stadium.Leading scorer Cosmos Dauda settled the tie with cheeky backheel on the 59th minute mark to settle the tie in favor of the Phobians.The Phobians did not have things their way as they had to end the last quarter with ten men after scorer Dauda hobbled off after picking a knock.In a fiercely contested game, both sides could have nicked victory with keepers George Owu and Soulama Abdoulaye standing tall for their clubs. It however came as no surprise the game was decided with a classy finish from Dauda. Hasaacas mounted pressure late in the game with Samuel Afful going close but the Burkinabe was at his utmost best preventing everything that came his way.

KOTOKO 0-0 BECHEM UNITED

It was frustration once again for Kotoko at the hands of Bechem United after they were held to a goalless draw by the Hunters. The result meant Kotoko blew the chance to go top of the table after Wa All Stars lost.The Bechem continued from where they left off in the MTN FA Cup sitting deep and frustrating the opponents forcing a drab first half. Kotoko were rejuvenated in the second half but their end product was lacking as they failed to find the back of the net. Striker Bennett Ofori missed the best chance of the game in the 81st minute to sum up a poor day at the office for Kotoko.

WAFA 2-1 WA ALL STARS

WAFA beat toppled leaders Wa All Stars 2-1 at WAFA Park in Sogakope. Kennedy Boateng and Togolese international Kombla Agbegniadan scored in either halves to give the academy side a  2-0 lead but Matthew Andoh reduced the deficit in what was only a consolation for the Wa side.

 

ADUANA 1-1 NEW EDUBIASE

New Edubiase United recorded an impressive draw in Dormaa as they held Aduana Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Park.Striker Nathaniel Asamoah scored his first goal for the Dormaa side in his first start in what was expected to be the beginning of a goal fest for Aduana. Yahaya Mohammed wasted chances in the first half to increase the tally in the first half and Yahaya and his Aduana side were duly punished when former Berekum Arsenals attacker James Boadu restored parity for Edubiase.

LIBERTY 0-1 DREAMS

Veteran Striker Eric Gawu rolled back the years to inspire Dreams to a famous victory over Liberty Professionals at the Karl Reindorf Park. The striker scored the only goal of the game after a solo run to slot the ball past the hapless Liberty Professionals keeper Liberty were reduced to ten men when Emmanuel Antwi was sent off early in the second-half after a clash with Abeiku Ainooson. All this happened after returnee Kennedy Ashia missed glaring chances in the first half.

CHELSEA 1-0 DWARFS

Berekum Chelsea beat Ebusua Dwarfs by the lone goal at the Golden City courtesy striker Stephen Owusu who scored on the 15th minute. The Blues were buoyed by the return of striker Saddick Adams who led the line so well. Chelsea failed to increase the tally after the early. Up next for them is a trip to Accra against leaders Hearts of Oak.

ASHANTIGOLD 1-0 INTER ALLIES

Ashantigold recorded their fourth victory of the season with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Inter Allies in Obuasi. Attacker Emmanuel Osei Baffour scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute with the game heading for another stalemate. The result means the Miners have picked up four points in their last four games and pushes them to 10th on the league log.
