Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has called on Ghanaians to rally behind boxer Emmanue Tagoe ahead of his international title bout.
Emmanuel “Game Boy” will for the second time attempt to defend his WBA international lightweight belt against Filipino Carlo Magali in a 12 round bout under the auspices Baby Jets Promotions owned by Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan.
The fight will be in association with Box Office Sports Promotions at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium and Asamoah Gyan, who cut short his club duties to be present at the bout is calling all and sundry to grace the event.
“My boy Game Boy Tagoe is a real fighter, skillful and can do anything in the ring. He can knockout an opponent, he can choose to go 12 rounds,” Gyan said in the pre bout press conference.
“As you are aware, he stopped somebody and the person ended up at the hospital.”
“The fight is going to be fireworks and I will like to invite Ghanaians to come watch.”
The fight will feature a super clash battle contest between George Ashie and Michael Ansah.
