Eighteen players and five officials of the national Under 20 football team, the Black Satellites, will leave Accra on Saturday for Bulgaria to play in an international friendly.
The Satellites will play Bulgaria’s national Under-21 team in Mezdra on November 17.
The international friendly marks the beginning of preparations for the Black Satellites towards the Africa Youth Championship in Libya next year.
The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winning team also played their Bulgarian counterparts in a similar exercise en-route to the World Championship in Egypt.
Meanwhile, chairman of the U-20 management team, Jordan Anagbla has told Joy Sports this is an opportunity for the Lions of Bulgaria to avenge their defeat.
He said the Bulgarians invited the Satellites and he suspects the desire to avenge the last defeat could have influenced the decision.
