The Chiropractic and Wellness Centres (CWC), has launched one of its cutting-edge programmes aimed at providing corporate organisations with true health and wellness. Painstakingly researched and developed over a period of seven years, CWC’s Corporate Wellness Programme is tailored towards the health needs of employers, employees and their dependants. It is the first of its kind in Ghana. The CEO and Founder of the Chiropractic and Wellness Centres, Dr. Marcus Manns, mentioned E-health coaching, ergonomic work station assessment, massage, health workshops and discounted chiropractic care as some components of the Corporate Wellness Programme. According to him, organisations that sign on to the programme would experience “reduced employee medical claims, improved productivity, happier and highly motivated team and reduced absenteeism among others.” Dr. Marcus said there was a vast difference between CWC’s Corporate Wellness Programme and other health programmes available to organisations and companies. “What we are providing is healthcare, and not “sick care,” Dr. Marcus explained. “We don’t treat sick employees, but we empower them to prevent diseases and enhance the quality of their lives. This will in turn help them to optimize their potentials and increase productivity in their respective organisations.” Dr. Marcus Manns said the Chiropractic and Wellness Centres has, over the ten years of its existence, committed itself to improving, extending and saving lives. “It is unacceptable that the average life expectancy of Ghanaians is 57 when Ghana has more favourable living conditions than some of the countries with better life expectancy figures than Ghana,” observed. Dr. Marcus Manns was last year adjudged Humanitarian of the Year by the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance for his dedication and leadership role in promoting health and wellness in Africa. He observed that with the right lifestyle choices, people in Ghana should be able to live longer and healthier lives. “Most of the diseases that plague the Ghanaian society are preventable, and our Corporate Wellness Programme has come as a relief to organisations and their employees,” he noted.
